Pre Season Wraps Up

Battle in front of Chiefs goaltender Conner Rapley

The Yellowhead Chiefs are gearing up for an exciting new season in the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League, and fans should be ready for some thrilling action! After a challenging final pre-season game against the defending champion Brandon Wheat Kings on September 21, 2024, where they faced a 7-2 defeat, the Chiefs have finalized their roster and are eager to take on the competition.

Despite the loss, there were bright moments for the Chiefs. Newcomer Colby Asselstine notched his first goal with the team, a promising start for the fresh talent. Veteran forward Nolan Kozak also showed his leadership on the ice, contributing a power-play goal and an assist. Kozak’s experience will be crucial in guiding this young squad, which is packed with potential after losing several key players to graduation and junior hockey teams.
