Chiefs Bounce Back at Home Against Parkland

The Chiefs set the tone early against the Parkland Rangers, jumping out to a 2–0 first-period lead with goals just 59 seconds apart. Alec Strachan opened the scoring, followed quickly by Nolan Kozak, with Grady McNish assisting on both tallies.

After Parkland cut into the lead early in the second, Yellowhead responded with authority. Winston Lepp converted on the power play, Wyatt Njegovan added another at even strength, and despite Parkland pulling within two again, the Chiefs never lost control. Isaac McArthur sealed the win with an empty-net goal late in the third.

Between the pipes, Wallin was steady, stopping 33 of 35 shots, while the penalty kill stood tall, denying Parkland on all seven of their power-play chances.


Chiefs Earn a Point in Kenora Overtime Battle

Saturday night was a grind in Kenora, with neither team giving much early. McNish broke the scoreless tie midway through the second period, but Kenora answered late in the frame.

In the third, Redden Richmond gave the Chiefs a late lead on the power play, only to see the Thistles respond just over a minute later to force overtime. Kenora capitalized shorthanded in OT to grab the extra point, but the Chiefs walked away with a hard-earned road point after outshooting the Thistles 45–32.


Chiefs Explode for Seven in Sunday Road Win

The Chiefs wasted no time bouncing back Sunday, delivering their most complete performance of the week. Power-play goals from McNish and Kozak helped Yellowhead build momentum early, and the offense kept coming in waves.

A dominant second period saw goals from Richmond, Lepp (shorthanded), and McNish, giving the Chiefs control of the game. Kozak struck again early in the third, and Brody Bohemier added insurance late as Yellowhead pulled away.

Wallin turned aside 40 shots in a strong road performance, while the Chiefs capitalized on their chances and controlled the pace for most of the night.


Looking Ahead: Home Doubleheader vs. Pembina Valley

With renewed confidence and momentum, the Chiefs now turn their focus to a home doubleheader this weekend, hosting the Pembina Valley Hawks on Saturday and Sunday. With the standings tightening in the middle of the pack, the weekend presents a key opportunity for Yellowhead to build on their rebound week and continue climbing.
